The first edition of the RERIS congress was held at the Olympic Museum of Barcelona on the 14th and 15th July.

It was organised and chaired by Grégory Quin and Philippe Vonnard and involved about 15 participants. The aim of this event was to engage reflexions about history of sport during the first period of the Cold War, and particularly to discuss the two sides of sport (tool of soft power and part of diplomacy) on the international stage.
